Datu Knows x Play Action Shoot

49ers vs Vikings (September 23, 2012) – Photo by Terrell Lloyd & edited by Melissa Datu

I wanted to share my first official post on Play Action Shoot! Since the rest of the crew (Terrell & Kym) are currently working at the 49ers/Jets game, I didn’t want to sit on the couch and do nothing.

So this is how I spent my Sunday.

I edited pictures and blogged at home, while the crew is away at the game. I wanted to contribute one way or another. Check it out!

Let’s go NINERS!

C’mon! Are You Kidding Me?!

Dear NFL,
Allow me to contribute to this social media frenzy. Tweets and re-tweets are not enough for this gal.

I truly tried to forget about it. Maybe keeping ESPN on after the MNF game wasn’t the wisest idea. I almost chucked my remote at the television in pure frustration.

I’m taking the smarter route by choosing to blog rather than having to eventually purchase a new flat screen at Best Buy this weekend.

2012 // Tailgate : 49ers vs Lions

September 16, 2012

Football is finally here!!

Yesterday was the San Francisco 49ers home opener at Candlestick Park! I enjoyed my first tailgate of the season with good friends and family.

The place was packed (more than usual), due to the fact that the 49ers just came off an amazing 2011-2012 season. Even though I only hung out for a couple hours, since I had to be on the field for work; I still had a great time.

One Word: WOW!

This is not a recap. It’s more of a reaction post.

I refuse to spit out stats and numbers on this one. You can look that up elsewhere. But, I will give props when props are due, and frankly the San Francisco 49ers deserve just that.

Some may think that I’m looking through “red and gold” glasses when sharing my opinions, because I’m a 49ers fan. But I like to think the opposite. I can be biased at times; however, I try to take that out of my writing.

No Surprises

Press play and thank me later.

I’m the type of person who hates surprises. Call me a bit of a control freak, but every part of me needs to know the basic who, what, when, and how. That’s just me.

However, last year’s 49ers season wasn’t expected at all and this time I can’t complain.

No one could have called it. They had a depressing 6-10 record the year before and no real sign of hope in the near future. Confronted with an NFL lockout, made it even more difficult to stay optimistic.
