Took way too many red eye flights to get to our final destination: NYC!
To be more specific, SJC – ATL – CVG – LGA
The first (half) day consisted of…
Our first New York cab ride, a power nap in Harlem, a slice of real NY pizza at Lexington Pizza Parlour, unlimited 7-day Metro cards, subways, trains, buses, strolling through a small portion of Central Park, taking the long way to Finnerty’s (home away from home) for our first pickle backs, finding out that Shake Shack is way better than In-N-Out, realizing there’s no Shake Shack in the Bay Area then feeling a bit heartbroken, a late-night walk around Times Square, bothering so many people to take a decent picture of us and all of the lights, quickly discovering that the lights are a bit overrated, ordering a drink at an Irish pub just so I could use their bathroom, stopping at Grand Central station but never “seeing” it, a nice walk back to our apartment.
Pure tourism at its finest in less than 24 hours.
You think this was crazy? Wait till you see what we did with a full day.
