Giants vs Phillies – April 18, 2012
Before I get to the pictures, I wanted to give a shout-out to a subscriber of mine. You know who you are! Honestly, your compliment made my day and it’s people like you that push me to work hard! Thanks for reading and your support!
As mentioned earlier in my last post, I have been a regular at AT&T Park recently. I promised myself that I would attend more Giants games this season. So far, so good!
This is the first installment of my Giants photo diary. It’s a short one, since I arrived at the game late (I will explain more in the end), I couldn’t take that many pictures. Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoy!
Crazy Crab‘z!!!
If you look closely, you’ll notice three pieces of this sandwich! It normally comes sliced into two, but my boyfriend got lucky! Our first game of the season and a great way to start!
This is a must whenever I go to a Giants game! Before I even head to my seat, I have to get my Crazy Crab’z sandwich. This little sandwich costs $16.00 (the prices have been going up as the seasons go by), but it’s totally worth every penny! Hands down, the best stadium food ever! And you can only find it at AT&T Park (right behind the score board)!
I know! I’m hyping this way too much! But trust me, you will not be disappointed. Every time I recommend it to someone, after all that hype, Crazy Crab’z gains another satisfied customer. I’m just sayin’….
The view from our nosebleeds. Oops! I meant, “seats.”
Finally arrived at our seats during the top of the 5th inning!
Yeah, we sat all the way up top. It was the second to the last row up, to be exact! But, the view was still amazing, even though we had to squint every now and then.
But who cares? I’m at a Giants game and I’m not a picky gal!
Giants won!! 1-0!!
So here’s the story…
We weren’t supposed to be at this game. In fact, we were planning on going to a Katchafire concert somewhere else in the city. Unfortunately, I was so indecisive that I waited until the night before to purchase the tickets. SOLD OUT!
It’s okay! Thanks to my quick thinking, spontaneous personality, and cheap tickets, I decided to go to the Giants game instead!
We arrived about 30 minutes late. The innings were going by so fast! I remember all the ScoreCenter alerts that would go off on my iPhone, every time each inning would end. Thankfully, no one scored and we hadn’t missed anything.
But here’s the crazy thing, totally random, but still relatable…
Earlier that week, during the Sharks vs Blues playoff Game 1, Alan wished for overtime because he was only able to begin watching at the start of the 3rd period (because of work…again). What happened?
The Sharks won in 2 OT (3-2)!!! Amazing!
But we all know how that ended. The San Jose Sharks couldn’t even make it passed the first round. Anyways…..
On the Caltrain, heading to this Giants game, I wished for extra innings since we were running late and would miss a ton of baseball action. And what happened?
The Giants won by putting the only point on the score board! Brandon Belt singled, but when Ty Wiggington made an error, he was able to reach third. Melky Cabrera singled and Belt went on to score! Bottom of the 11th! True story.
Now, I’m not saying that we caused anything by making these wishes. It’s just crazy when things like this happen.
I couldn’t have asked for a better impromptu date night!
